Adam Meckler releases Sampled, a bold reimagining of his work with the Adam Meckler Orchestra (AMO): ten brand-new songs built from samples of AMO recordings, on which Meckler collaborates with rappers, singers and instrumentalists — all topped with his unique and expressive trumpet playing (he even takes a turn rapping).
Sampled reframes big-band material into contemporary, beat-forward compositions that sit at the intersection of modern jazz, hip-hop and electronic production.
