Looking for a nice backbeat ballad for your students? Inspiration is an Alto 1 and Flugel 2 feature piece that includes improvisational interplay between the two soloists. It's a feel-good ballad written in memory of a beloved saxophone instructor in Austin MN, originally commissioned by the Austin High School Jazz Band. It was recorded and released by the Adam Meckler Orchestra on the Music for the Water Walkway EP album released in 2021 on Shifting Paradigm Records.
